"There’s a sensuality and love in this process, a softness too. What fascinates me about lighting is its unique presence. When placed in an interior, something magical happens.
Light is life; its radiance evokes emotion and something deeply felt."

White isn’t just a color for Celine Wright; it’s an emotion, an artistic expression, and a luminous presence.

In her feature for Gala Magazine France, writer Nora Sahli explores Celine Wright’s unique vision of white.

"When I think of white—a thought that often comes to me since it’s the color of the material I work with—I think cosmic and dazzling. I think of the delicate paper at the entrance of Shinto temples, and the geisha makeup. But also at the nature and the divine inherent to Shintoism."

For Wright, crafting with washi paper is a practice of precision, quietude, and transformation. Each creation reflects a profound connection to nature, capturing both the material’s beauty and its ability to radiate warmth, texture, and emotion.

"Many people tell me that my lamps make them feel more serene, which is the most beautiful compliment."
